Welcome to the Dance Northumberland Team, your chance to find out a little bit more about the people who work for us...

Kirsti

Kirsti is the Director of Dance Northumberland. She has been dancing from just 18 months old. Kirsti has studied with various well known London stage schools, as well as with private dance academies in Northumberland and was crowned Miss Entertainer in the year 2000. Kirsti gained her qualifications with ISTD, but has also studied RAD and NESPA. She has studied Ballet, Tap, Modern/Jazz, Hip Hop, Street Dance, and Freestyle and is a very versatile performer/teacher. As well as dance and fitness subjects such as Zumba and Pilates, Kirsti is an experienced choreographer and is trained in fire, stilts aerial hoop and many other circus skills. She has also worked for cruise liners around the world travelling as far as Hong Kong where she was trained in aerial performance by the Cirque du Soleil, and is a trained vocalist through London College of Music and has performed with artists such as Sonique, Run DMC, S Club 7, David Essex, the Tweenies and Banana's in Pijamas whilst also playing lead roles in Newcastle, Durham and London in many shows and musicals.She has a wealth of teaching and performance experience which extends from local to worldwide and enjoys sharing these skills and wealth of experience with her pupils!!

Lisa B

Lisa B is our tiny tots teacher. Found in Studio Z on a Saturday morning Lisa works with the kids ranging from ages around 3 years all the way up. With a wide range of styles to teach, including Ballet, Tap, Stage, and Modern, she offers the children of Ashington and the surrounding area an early introduction to the world of dance.

Caitlin

Caitlin trained with us as a Modern Apprectice. She has now gained a Level 2 in Activity Leadership, Level 2 Employment Awareness, Safegaurding and Protection of Children and an NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership.

Since the age of 5 year old Caitlin has paticipated in many shows and exams from dancing, to acting to singing and was also in the Dance Northumberland Disney team 2010.

In the short space of time, that Caitlin has been with Dance Northumberland, she has successfully completed her Street Cheer and cheerleading qualifications, and is a fully licenced Zumba and Zumbatomic instructor and will be sitting exams in Freestyle and Street Dance very soon.

Nikki

Nikki is from Ashington and along with being a newly qualified Zumba Instructor she is also going to be starting Burlesque classes in Studio Z.

Nikki was a professional dancer working in various world wide locations after taking time out she is now a personal trainer with aerobics, spinning and circuit training to add to her qualifications.

Ami

Ami is our voice on the end of the phone and is our office manager
